The majority of victims were Hausas but some Ibos were killed too.

They were overpowered, they were not shot, they were killed by knives and other metal objects. Some of the Hausa shops and their houses were also burned.

On Tuesday over 60 were killed; on Wednesday over 20 were killed. Some of them are Christians, the majority of them are Muslims.

We counted at least 60 dead on Tuesday, and on Wednesday no less than 20.

Security forces were collecting dead bodies of those killed in the two days of mayhem.
